Rock Salt Finish: A speckled pattern of shallow indentations on the concrete surface, similar to the appearance of slightly pitted, weathered rock. This pattern is left in the concrete by dislodged salt particles.
Exposed Aggregate: Obtained by placing concrete and then removing the outer 'skin' of cement paste to uncover coarse aggregate stones. Because of its durability and skid resistance, an exposed aggregate finish is ideal for most flatwork including sidewalks and driveways.
Sand Finish: A decorative finish that involves removing a very small portion of the surface of the concrete in order to change its color through sandblasting. Sandblasting retextures the surface at a much shallower level than exposed aggregate. The result is a smooth surface similar to unpolished granite.
We want to make your project dreams become a reality. We will personally work with you to select the best products, materials, finishes and color options to customize your concrete needs. There are a wide variety of textures and looks that we can create through the custom finishes you choose for your concrete.
Decorative Stamped Border: Stamped concrete that mimics cobble stone or bricks that can be used to border larger areas of concrete. Ideal for creating a border around a patio or lining a driveway.
Hard Trowel Finish: This finish is very smooth so that the concrete is sleek, with little texture or pattern to it. Ideal for garage floors and wine cellars.
Sweat Finish: A textured finish involves using a magnesium float and running it lightly across the top of the surface to give it a wrinkled appearance.
Polished Finish: A smooth, high-luster finish which can be stained to replicate the look of polished stone. Many people are choosing polished concrete flooring as an alternative to marble, granite or tile. There are a range of sheen available, from satin to high gloss.
Stamped Finish: Textured or imprinted concrete that replicates stones such as slate and flagstone, tile, or brick. Ideal for beautifying pool decks, driveways, entries, courtyards, and patios.
Broom Finish: One of the most common and basic finishes that shows slight texture left in the concrete from a broom. A broomed concrete is more slip-resistant. The same broom can be used to create many finishes and patterns. Stiff-bristled brooms can produce light, medium and heavy finishes.
Seeded Exposed Aggregate: Similar to exposed aggregate, except that decorative stones are seeded onto the slab surface immediately after the concrete has been placed, which results in a top layer of colorful stones or pebbles. Many different types of decorative aggregate are available.
